students, professionals, and at-risk youth. He has taught both
private instruction and sessions at the National Guitar Workshop
and the continuing education department at South Puget Sound
Community College.
David is interested in many styles of music and music theory.
He has performed in rock groups, jazz bands, a classical guitar
trio, playback theater, string quintets, and the Eclectic Chamber
Music Ensemble. He also performs solo classical guitar both
publicly and privately.
David graduated from the Evergreen State College in 1996 with
a degree in Natural History of the Pacific Northwest. In addition
to teaching and performing guitar, he writes and publishes the Note-A-Day Calendar series, featuring a different lesson for each day of the year. Originally from Ossining,
NY, David lives in Portland, Oregon.
